Asedie held the V Seminar on Data Protection for its associates. As in recent years, the event was celebrated virtually through the Teams platform.

This year the latest developments in data protection and privacy were discussed and different experiences, opinions and knowledge was shared with our associates, helping to resolve doubts about data protection regulations and issues that affect our Sector. Also, the advances and topics covered in the UIMP summer course on privacy, sustainability and innovation imparted by the Spanish Data Protection Agency, held at the start of July in Santander, were reviewed.

The informative session led by the Legal Commission president, Casilda Lazcano, and Olga Quirós, general secretary of ASEDIE, reported on the main legislative developments regarding Data Protection and was an opportunity to explore different guidelines and regulations that, while not being data protection, coexist and are directly related to it, affecting our associates business development, such as: the guidelines on the right of access, the European Data Strategy, proposals for different regulations such as artificial intelligence , E-idas 2 or E-privacy... or that related to the company law directive.

These Conferences are an opportunity for our Associates to share doubts, knowledge and experiences related to data protection in our Sector and, furthermore, it constitutes another example of ASEDIE's good practices, fulfilling the commitments acquired when we started working on the Code of Conduct for the Infomediary Sector text.
